✨It's almost the end of the year, and that means it's time to celebrate!
It has been a bumpy ride for the Web3 world with a lot of ups and downs. But it's also one of the most exciting times in history. Merkle Science has some great news for you, we've been featured in the world’s 100 most innovative RegTech companies that every financial institution needs to know about in 2023.
Merkle was also among the Top 10 fintech deals in Singapore, Q3 2022.
🏆 World's Most Innovative RegTech Companies
Merkle Science is proud to have been featured in the Regtech 100 list.
The RegTech100 is an annual list of 100 of the world’s most innovative RegTech companies. The purpose of the list is to assist top-level management and compliance experts in determining which solutions have the best chance of becoming market flag bearers.
Merkle Science has collaborated with Polarys and Stellar Development Foundation to enhance Web3 risk mitigation and compliance capabilities.
The partnership with Polarys will help mitigate crypto risk and is a response to increased NFT-related crime. On the other Merkle is bringing Compass, a behavior-based transaction monitoring and risk reporting solution, to the Stellar network.
🎯FTX Hack: A Reminder That Crypto Investor Protection Does Not Exist
📉 The downfall of FTX and its subsequent bankruptcy case highlights the importance of robust digital asset risk compliance.
From institutional investors such as Sequoia Capital to small-scale investors with accounts at FTX, many learnt the lesson the hard way. Those funds are no longer available.
Exchanges have always been vulnerable to hacks. As cryptocurrencies gain popularity and value, the stakes climb. Exchanges must verify that fiat-backed stablecoins and wrapped tokens are backed by sufficient assets using Proof of Reserve (PoR).
After the collapse of FTX, Binance published its Proof of Reserve disclosing $69 billion in assets.
